TOROIDAL TRANSFORMERS

Toroidal cores are called common or differential mode transformers or inductors, but their magnetic dispersion is lower than a conventional ferrite core. What's more, as the core doesn't need screws to hold the steel together, mechanical noise is extremely low, and the product is lighter and more compact.

The main advantages of a Toroidal Transformer or Inductor:

- Less weight and volume (on average 50 per cent less than ordinary laminate);

- Low magnetic field irradiation;

- Low mechanical noise;

- Low no-load current (90 per cent lower than with laminates), which guarantees low heating and lower consumption;

- High efficiency;

- Easy mounting on electronic equipment.
